My Big Debut

The MOMS Club that I am a member of hosted a Holiday Showcase and Rummage sale this weekend. Members were able to bring their rummage to be sold as well as items that they sell. There was a Pampered Chef Booth, a Tastefully Simple Booth, a Shakely Booth, and various handcrafted items. I had grand plans of what I could all make and sell. But I learned that you need quadruple the time to get projects done once you have a little one to care for. I was able to get a few items together for the sale. I was out the door by 7:45 a.m. Saturday. (M was able to stay home and care for Peachy. Believe it or not, this was the longest time that I spent away from her. I was glad that I could leave her in her father's capable hands.) When I returned home around 2:30, I had lighter bins and some extra cash. For the first time selling my wares, I was pretty happy.

I decorated 20 onsies. 10 were for boys with ties and suspenders and 10 were for girls with flowers and birds. (Sorry that I can't get the birds to fly straight.)

I had some small ($7) and some large taggie blankets ($12) on hand. (I also had some burp clothes in my gift bin that I sold for $2/piece.)

I also whipped up some crayon rolls. (They were finished at 11 p.m. Friday night with the help of M.) They sold for $5/piece.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items that I have left over, please leave a comment with your email address and we can work out the details.

It went well, thanks. It was a good way to test the waters since the cost was low. I figure it got my name out to the MOMS club that I sew, as well. I wish that I had more opportunities like this.
