November, I'm Loving It

Its that time again, dear readers, my list of items loved this month!
1) Trader Joe's Pumpkin Butter and Cranberry Apple Butter: Get yourself to a Trader Joe's (or have someone you know and love get themselves to a TJ's) and pick up a jar or two or three of these tummy treats. They are a seasonal product, as far as I am aware, and you do not want to miss out! They are yummy on toast, waffles, pancakes, and even in oatmeal (more on that later.)
2) Steel Cut Oatmeal: I actually bought some steel cut oats for a recipe. Since I had the remainder of the container sitting there, I started making it for breakfast in place of my regular oatmeal. And while it does take a bit longer, it is really good. And good for you, too. I have found it I make myself a serving of oatmeal, it keeps me full the majority of the morning. Of course I add fun things like Trader Joe's Pumpkin Butter, or nuts and craisins, and diced fruit and it actually feels like I am eating something way naughtier than I am.
3) JibJab:  I know that you have all heard of JibJab before. You know the place you can turn your entire family into dancing elves through Office Max for Christmas. However, the girls and I recently started playing around with the website and we had a blast. There is just something so stinking funny about seeing your entire family, cuties and all, sing and dance to the Monster Mash. Good times.
4) My Imaginary Well Dressed Toddler Daughter Pinterest Board: This tongue in cheek Pinterest board mocks elaborate and over the top children modeling pictures with "quotes" from the child Quinoa. The above picture contains the caption, "Quinoa always looks forward to celebrating Cher Appreciation Day at school." The creator has lots of great boards. Good for lots of laughs at the expense of others, of course.
And that is what I am loving this month. How about you?

September, I'm Loving It

It has been a while. Definitely time for another list of my current loves.
1) All things pumpkin: No surprise here. I love that the people in marketing know America. And know that we have a big hankering for pumpkin. You can get pumpkin in everything from coffee to chips! But my love doesn't stop with eating pumpkin, I love to decorate with pumpkins too. Yay for fall!
2) My new DSLR!! (A used Nikon D3000) I am entering the world of manual cameras. Hopefully as my skills improve so do the pictures on this blog!! There is a learning curve for sure, but I really want to take better pictures especially for the blog and for my Etsy store.
3) Chromecast: We are Google fans in this house. So when Google announced that it would be releasing its own casting device we were excited. And while right now it only works with a limited number of apps, it as been fun playing around with it. Peachy calls it our new toy.
4) Leachco Snoogle Mini Compact Side Sleeper: When I was pregnant with Peachy I tried the full-sized Snoogle and it was just too big for me. This time around I have been using this mini version and really liking it. So far I haven't been having the hip pain I had in both of my previous pregnancies. I like that it is small enough that changing positions doesn't feel like wrestling a hippo during the night.
5) Way Better Snacks Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips: Seriously! I just picked up a giant bag of these at Costco and we had them polished off in a matter of days. They are so good. I don't know about being all that good for you. But hey, they have to be better than just plain old tortilla chips, right? And then on their website I saw that they have a seasonal flavor of Pumpkin and Cranberry? Seriously!!! I think I love this company!
Those are my September loves. What are some of yours?

June, I'm Loving It

Another month, and another list of my loves. We are definitely enjoying summer in these parts, and this month my loves reflect just that.
1) Our Graco Double Stroller: We have an older Duo glide that we purchased off of Craigslist before Cream was born. The stroller is still working well for us even with over 60 pounds of kids in it. We have been using it every morning to transport Peachy to and from her park program in a timely manner.
2) Lemonade: I love lemonade on a hot summer day. I always love Simply Lemonade, but recently purchased a three pack of a similar natural lemonade at Costco called Citrus Grove. And to prove that I am not a lemonade snob, I also purchase dry mix in addition to the frozen variety.
3) Our Cherry Pitter: I purchased an OXO cherry pitter at Target on clearance several years back and every summer, I am so thankful it did. It makes it supper easy to share one of my favorite summer treats with the girls, cherries. (There is a reason this blog is called Bowl of Cherrys!)
4) Outshine Fruit Popsicles: These are a healthier alternative to other popsicles. They are made with 100% fruit and no extra sugar. I am all for indulging in treats, but if you can, why not make them a little healthier? I enjoy these just as much as the girls on a hot summer day.

April, I'm Loving It

Here are some of the things that I am loving for April.
1) Call the Midwife: Since I can't get my British tellie fix with Downton Abbey right now, this series is filling in. It airs on PBS on Sunday night, but you can always stream it. Great show! But be ready with the Kleenex.
2) Little Bear: Television for the littles. We don't get many channels on our current cable plan. So I use some Amazon for the girls when we need an afternoon tv show. I stumbled across Little Bear a while back and am loving it. The plot lines are simple and sweet and the narration and music is calming. Perfect television for kids and parents!
3) Loreal go 360 Clean Facial Wash: (This in combination with #4 is bringing peace to my relationship with my face lately.) I bought this at the grocery store when I needed some new cleanser and have fallen in love. It has a little rubber brush that came built right in with the packaging that sticks to the shower wall if you would like. It gently exfoliates. And I really think my skin feels smoother since starting to use it.
4) Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream: I bought this little tube when I needed some more foundation. I like how lightweight it is, but that it still has good coverage. The lotion built in moisturizes without being too heavy for my oily skin.

'Tis the Season

Can you feel it in the air? We are in the thick of the Holiday season. Halloween is done and now it is time to prepare for Thanksgiving with Christmas following closely on its heels. And while I am excited about everything that this time of year brings, I am really excited for all of the fun seasonal food items that are hitting the shelves.
I was grocery shopping at Target the other day and I found myself loading down the cart with tasty treats. There is something about the flavors and then something about the fact that you just can't buy them year round. I couldn't resist.
1) Market Pantry Pumpkin Cookies (with Cheesecake Filling!!!) I couldn't fund these on the website, but I did find a few other blog posts about them. And let me tell you, if you see them, snatch them up. Yum!

2. Market Pantry Candy Cane Chewy Cocoa Granola Bars: I haven't cracked these open yet, but I figure you can't go wring with chocolate and peppermint.

3. Yoplait Yogurt Apple Crisp and Pumpkin Pie: Its like eating dessert, only its yogurt!

4. And finally International Delights Salted Caramel Mocha Creamer: I have fallen for this new offering from Starbucks and am loving the creamer for DIY at home!
Don't worry. I am not getting paid to promote these products. Just sharing the love!
