Little Peachy has been a part of our lives for 2/3 of a year already. She turned 8 months old yesterday! Our little girl is getting bigger in so many ways. She is bigger physically. I don't know where she stands on the charts right now, but there are some 12 month clothed that she doesn't even fit into anymore. She is looking more like a little girl and less like a baby these days. (She even has three little teeth in the bottom of her mouth.) She is starting to act older as well. She has her own will and often lets us know what that will is. And although she is not crawling or scooting yet, she does all that she can to get where she wants to go. I never thought that I would say this, but I am looking forward to the day that she can get where she wants to go on her own. I can see her frustration mounting at her immobile state.
Peachy has also reached the stage of realization. Over our Christmas trip, her sleep habits changed, literally, overnight. She figured out that if she cries enough, mom and dad come to visit her and if she cries even more they might even take her out of her crib and rock her. Lets just say that we are working on some sleep training to train her right out of those ideas.
One of my favorite new traits that our daughter has picked up is self amusement. She will be playing by herself and then give a little laugh. I look over and realize that she is laughing at herself. Sometimes she is looking in a mirror and sometimes she is just off in her own happy little world.
Happy 8 months, Little Peachy!!!
