Eye Spy Bags
I was recently asked to make some new eye spy bags for a fellow mom's group mom. Her son turned 2 this month and loves puppies. They were having a puppy themed party which led her to ask me to make bone shaped eye spy bags. She found the cutest buttons and charms at Michaels that all had something to do with dogs. (I am sorry that I didn't get a picture before putting them in the bones. I would love to share them with you.) Using muslin, I cut two bone shapes for each of the bags. Into one of these bones I cut a rectangular opening that I covered with vinyl for the window. I stitched them together, leaving an opening to fill with the rice and charms. After they were filled, I closed the opening. I am so happy with how they turned out. Carrying out someone else's vision can be so much fun!
Here are the Christmas bags that I made for her kids.
I am hoping to get more of these made up for a craft fair that I am doing this weekend. (Wish me luck and lots of good sewing time.)

The dog bone is too cute!
I've seen these in the square bag variety and love them but the bone shape just makes it that much better. Great idea!
