Tutorial Tuesday: Felt Banana

Look what, or should I say who, popped up in our fruit bowl this week!
Isn't he fun? This is my first attempt at felt food. I can see where this stuff can be addicting! This little guy is actually part of Peachy's Halloween costume, but I am sure that he will still around after the costume is put away.
I found the tutorial here: http://lyneya.wordpress.com/2009/04/30/tutorial-felt-banana-in-peel-or-corn-in-husk/ and the idea for the mouth here: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/peelable-banana-plushie. Adding the Chiquita sticker, I am proud to say, was my own idea!
The tutorial is very easy. I made it even easier by simply sewing the two layers of peel together with my machine instead of by hand. What can I say? I am not a hand sewing kind of girl.
Any guesses as to what the rest of Peachy's costume is?

Your banana is wonderful- I am popping over from Creative Itch. I am doing a series of Felt Food posts on my blog, Chasing Marcus, and I would love for you to stop by.

Have fun making even more felt food. It is addicting!
