Savory Saturday: Guacamole

I have a confession to make. When I make guacamole I don't follow a recipe. I never really make the same guac twice. I usually just add what sounds good and what I have on hand. However, one of my friends is always talking about the good guacamole recipe that I gave her. Apparently one time I actually paid attention to the ingredients as I mixed. Amazing. On our recent trip I spied "my" guacamole recipe sitting on her counter. I couldn't resist. I copied my own guac recipe. Last night my sister and M helped me to recreate "my" guacamole recipe and now I am sharing it with you!!

Ingredients:
-3 ripe avocados
-1/4 c diced red onion
-hot sauce to taste
-1/2 t cumin
-salt and pepper to taste
-1/4 chopped cilantro
-3 T lime juice
-1/4 c sour cream

Directions:
1. Mash avocados.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Stir.

We love guacamole, too. It's funny that our "recipe" is different, I never thought about it but I don't really meausre or do it the same anytime. We use tomatoes, no cumin or sour cream, but lots of lime and cilantro. =)

Your guac is always so good. Is anything with an avocado bad? Have fun with your sister!
